Linear Hydroxy Silicone Fluid is a hydroxyl-terminated polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) with a linear molecular structure. The polymer consists of a siloxane backbone (Si–O–Si), methyl side groups, and hydroxyl (-OH) groups at the chain ends.
This fluid appears as a clear, colorless, odorless liquid with adjustable viscosity and excellent thermal and chemical stability. It is soluble in non-polar solvents such as carbon tetrachloride and benzene, and offers high reactivity due to the hydroxyl groups, making it highly versatile in both industrial and personal care applications.
