Perfluorohexanone

Perfluorohexanone is a new kind of clean and green fire extinguishing agent. Its ODP is zero, means do no damage to the ozone layer. Its value of GWP is only 1, the greenhouse effect is very weak. It has a lifetime of just 0.014 years in the atmosphere (about five days). Moreover, Perfluorohexanone contains no solid particles and grease, leaves no residue after release. It has the comprehensive advantages of high fire extinguishing efficiency, environmental protection, safety in use, good insulation performance, no damage to electronic precision equipment and so on.

 Application 

Perfluorohexanone, also known as PFH, can be used as a cleaning agent in whole-area and local-area fire extinguishing systems as well as in portable fire extinguishers, replacing FK-5-1-12 or Novec 1230, and it has a wide range of applications, especially in occupied confined spaces. In addition, it is used as a protective gas in the smelting of light metals (e.g. magnesium), as a cleaning agent for precision instruments, as a special solvent, and so on.
